Activities, Events and Visits

Higher Education Week
Taking place at the end year 12, this is a week-long series of activities, events and visits dedicated to Higher Education and ‘next steps’

  • University campus visit
  • UCAS applications support
  • Apprenticeship applications support
  • Guest speakers from universities and employers
  • ‘Life skills’ workshops

Events for parents and Year 12 students
Two ‘Higher Education’ evenings take place each year, in March and July, to which parents and year 12 pupils are invited

  • Trip to Oxford University link college
  • Super-curricular extension classes
  • Aptitude test and interview preparation

Guest Speaker Programme 

  • Regular in-school talks, giving pupils the opportunity to hear inspirational guest speakers from universities, businesses and the professions discuss their particular subjects and expertise. 

Work Experience

  • In the Sixth Form students are encouraged to do up to five days of work experience. This can be done in one block or spread over a number of weeks. 

Careers Fair

  • Bi-annual Careers Fair
  • Year 9-13
  • Multiple careers sectors represented
